Sarahs fish is currently in a state of ... ill being, shall we say. It floats around on its side, and can't get down. Apparently its because it has indigestion, or is dying. We say indigestion so Sarah feels better. The fish pictured isn't actually her fish, I felt like it was kind of violating to take a photo, so this will do.
I know I'm slow with this, but I have a job, ok!? Anyway, first things first. The Dior Couture show. I must say, I did enjoy it. Not as much as the Fall 09 Couture, but that was hard to live up to because it was THE BEST EVER. I still look at it and wish it was me. All of it.
Just to refresh everyone to the sheer greatness of the aforementioned collection, here are a few of my favourites. Even looking at it now, I find new things to love. Sigh.
Erm...She's short! And it's a bow! As in there are massive gaping holes in it...see...? AND she's short! Her head barley clears the shoulders of the dudes next to her bitches. Imagine if that was a SOLID HEAD! God, is this fiasco about her 'massive annoying, view obstructing bow" for realz? Get over it, you're at DIOR! Poor you, in the second row behind a small child wearing a massive bow. Boo-fucking-hoo.
OH MY F-ING GOD! THEY ARE BACK! THEY ARE BACK IN STOCK! SHOULD I DO IT? OH THE AWFUL TIMING OF THIS ALL, JUST AS I BEGIN MY KAREN WALKER RING FUND TOO!!! SHOULD I DO IT? GOOD GOD I WANT TO DO IT!
"Ever want to feel bad about your life? Welcome to Facebook." This, from Lesley Arfin's article 'Stalk You Later...' in the current Russh, is exactly how I feel 70% of the time I log onto ye old Facebook. And I KNOW you feel the same way too. So why do we do it? We know it's bad for us, just like a large spoonful of Nutella. We know we shouldn't go there, just like a certain series of books about vampires and wolves. BUT WE STILL DO IT! 'Live News Feeds' and Freinds of friends keep us going back and digging for more. Maybe we can rest in knowing that someone amongst your 3 million plus 'friends' is out there looking at 'you' all green eyed and sad too...right...? Sigh, life eh? That's all really. I'm going to leave you all be tonight (I can hear you sigh with relief already). Here is little Lesley with someone who always makes me feel bad about my life.
Would people actually buy and wear these in real life? Like real people. Not Lady Gaga. Not Daphne Guinness. "Real people". Like you and me. Where would we wear these if not in a music video. To the supermarket? Haha, I'm so funny. But really, if you could get your paws on these (or a cheaper version *cough Wild Pair cough*) would you do it? I don't think I would. They're just too 'funny' for me. Opening Ceremony buckle boots, yes. Louis Vuitton tribal heels, yes. YSL cage heels, yes again. But these little puppies, that would be a big fat non from me. Not that I think they are too weird to exist. I think they are pretty awesome to be honest, the pinky ones in particular tickle my fancy. But not as shoes. Maybe as something I'd put on a plinth and admire from afar. Or a flower pot. Now that'd be cool.
Phu-lease get into my life Karen Walker lapiz and diamond ring. This is getting more serious than the whole Chloe Sevigny Opening Ceremony boot fiasco. And we all (mostly a certain live-in co-writer) know what crazy proportions that almost got to. Sigh.
It just hit me! Just as I put that little pic up there. Yup that one right there. I'm gonna do this! I'm going to be (for once in my life) sensible with my money, which yes might at first seem like buying a very expensive ring would hinder that, but hear me out. I'm gonna save! Seriously save! I'm going to run off now and find a jar I can put money into. Then when I have enough I'm not going to deposit the money back into my account. I'm going to march down to Karen Walker with my jar of pennies (and notes, I am a semi-adult here) and pay CASH!
Are two alright kind of girls. On occasion they have a few things to say. Sometimes they blog about it, sometimes they just say it to one another - when they're feeling really crazy, they'd do both! When they're feeling really lazy they don't do either.
