Too much for everyday wear? (the sarah edition)

I like Nicki Minaj. She has a weird voice (ahem, auto-tune) and this is a cool outfit, ensemble, get-up thing. Yes it's very Gaga, how unoriginal Nicki, give her a break! She still looks cool.

Too much for everyday wear?

Not the outfit, although that would be fun. The eye makeup. I am the kind of girl who LOVES eyeliner, most of all liquid eyeliner. My friend/ ex- boss always says that girls who wear eyeliner get pregnant first but I think if I could manage this eyeliner I might risk it.

All seriousness though, I will have to practice, but whaddaya think?

I think my inherent bogan-ness is taking over my life.

Pre-fall 2011

A couple of my favourites, I'm too tired to write why or whatevs but here they are.





These three outfits from Balenciaga - I actually wish I had these entire outfits to wear every single day. There is something a little off about the first one though? the shoes? the tights? or the purple (I HATE PURPLE)




Usually I rather like quite a few Proenza Schouler items but all that I fancied was these two. I fancy them rather a lot though.

Birthday present to me, from me?

Seeing as my original dream boots (see below) are now gone from all realms of possibility, these babies could be my birthday present to myself. Don'tcha think? 305 pounds..... hmmmmm.....

So my summer of sloth is still going along quite nicely. Just thought I'd say hi and let y'all know that I'm still being lazy and all. Today I got my Forever 21 parcel and two pairs of new shoes...yes two...leave me alone! The most exciting part of my day...while I am really enjoying lying about doing nothing, floating in the pool when the sun is out, watching old MySky episodes of Keeping up with the Kardashians late into the night and getting quite stuck into Valley of the Dolls (do it if you love a trashy page-turner) I'm still not really satisfied. I wish I was more organised earlier in the year. Pretty much I wish I was here


First time in my life where I actually want a distnict 'holiday' or 'vacation' rather than just some lazy time off. Read: I AM NOT READY TO GO BACK TO WORK!

I had a pair of these in black when I was about 11 or 12 and wore them to school instead of the oh-so-popular Rugged Sharks. But tan/brown??? Are these even available now? I really hope so! I hope I don't end up looking like a 12-year-old tomboy...but with the way things are going with Elle Fanning (see slightly weird obsession post below) that might not be such a bad thing...

A not-so-awkward (or painful) pre-teen

Is it weird for me to semi-idolise a 12-year-old? Elle Fanning is the bomb! SHE'S 12! Waaaay better than Dakota I reckon - Dakota was totes irritating at 12 with her gigantic toothy grin. That's all really, I think Elle is awesome.





This makes me want two things 1) cherry red Dr. Martens and 2) thinner hair.

Recovery

Sometimes you can love someone a lot, so so so so much, but you know that there are things that change everything.

Just coz things change doesn't mean you don't care.

So here we are

I guess I should say HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! and all that. So yeah, great it's a new year. Mines not going swimmingly, but hey, it's only the first day - I'll give 2011 another chance.

Basically to save you reading a very boring dear diary entry the last few days of 2010 were a bit personally challenging for myself. You know those times when you feel like 'oh god, I'm so weird, why can't I just be cool etc?'. And by cool I don't mean being the Queen Bee or having the latest furry stickers in my sticker collection - I mean being ok with who I am. Sigh, so cliche, yes, we've all had those, cry me a river Sarah. But then I realised that a) I'm not fifteen, get a fucking grip and b) I AM 'cool' and everyone else are the weirdos.

Basically, something that should have already sunk in by now. But sometimes it's hard when it's just you and you're standing there with your belifes and idiosyncrasies while someone (or everyone) tests them with their belifes and idiodyncrasies. No one is right. Everyone is cool, just be cliche and strong about it y'all. Peace out 2010, don't be a bitch 2011
