Lacey socks?
I've never really warmed to the lacey sock revival. Don't get me wrong, the look pretty sweet on most people and I think 'Hey lacey socks. That's cool.' But whenever I go to reach for a pair, memories from my childhood of surly little girls in poofy nylon dresses and shoes that squeak with their Filipino maid running after them just come flooding back, and I just can't quite do it. Or so I thought...Enter American Apparel - the saviour of all things basic/borderline slutty. NAVY BLUE lacey socks? Now these I think I can quite happily do.

Here we go again
So a while back I mysteriously broke and lost my favorite amber ring. Then I came home from being overseas for two weeks, walk into my room and the missing piece of amber was sitting smack in the middle of my doorway. Creepy yes, did I question it? No. Enter super glue. All was well...until now (again). The whole ring has gone missing now!!! WHHHHHYYYYY? COME BACK! I CAN'T FIND ANOTHER RING AS PERFECT AS YOU! Whatever I did, I'm sorry!

Please make it stop!

Please make the clogs stop multiplying. Not only are they coming out looking like a more polished version of the pair I had when I was seven (black with flowers along the rim), but they are now morphing into things like a clog-boot-thing. W.T.F? STOP! Just stop. These shoes are NOT flattering on seven-year-old girls, and they are also NOT flattering on grown women - model or normal human. Nasty, nasty, nasty. I shudder.
And P.S. is Lara Stone wearing peddle pushers? Or bike pants? Both things that happened to me in the 90s, but unlike dark purple lipstick and flannel - they are something, like clogs, that should stay in the past!

Crushed Velvet?
Alexander Wang's fall 2010 show happened in New York a few days ago. Yes I am aware I am sooo behind on this, but I have a life (and at times a very slow internet connection). But anyway, to get to the point - dare I say, I didn't really like it. The only things that I wasn't so confused about were a few dresses towards the end. What's going on here? Pinstripes and crushed velvet? Really? I like velvet, but not the crushed variety. And I never like pinstripes. N.E.V.E.R. Sigh Alexander, sigh. These dresses are wonderful. The non-so-wonderful pinstripe and crushed velvet can be researched on your own time. They don't belong here.

Work Work Work
Lately, its been feeling like ALL I DO IS WORK. Work, work , work, work. Boo to Work. The thing is, my current place of employment has no air conditioning. Lots of work + no aircon does not make for a fun employment experience.
So, to mentally repair myself after long days of being friendly to people that aren't always friendly back, I watch dvds. Like "Twin Peaks - Fire Walk With Me." As much as I love love loved Twin Peaks series , the movie was full on hard core Laura Palmer was a slutty bitch. Sarah and I actually screamed, out loud, simultaneously, during the film. Long live Killer Bob and The One Armed Man!!
P.s I missed Audrey.
