Yes it may be summer but I desperately want a camel coat. Actually to be specific it is the cashmere wool camel coat at work. At first I didn't really bat my eyelids at it but after weeks of stroking it at work I kind of need it. I know I will be sobbing come winter and everyone gets their camel coat at work and I don't because I made my staff order in a huge rush and didn't even think about how awesome (and soft) this coat was. URGH! I don't have an image of it because I'm at home and not work (weekend, hello!) but here are things that make me think about it. Sigh...
p.s. would a camel coloured bikini wash out a white and pasty gal such as myself? I'm half Chinese (South East Asian, to be specific) but the olive skin gene refuses to show it's face.
Watch this film! Just do it ok. If you like it, also watch 2046. I first saw these a couple of years ago and loved them. Set in Hong Kong in the 60s. Beautiful cinematography. And the cheongsams, oh the cheongsams...
Yes a lot of pictures, what are you gonna do? My sister got a cheongsam made when she was 18. She's never worn it since, but it was a qusai coming-of-age moment and I remember being very jealous and couldn't wait until my cheongsam day arrived. It never did. What's up with that? I'm thinking about hitting mum about this. But before I do, am I even Chinese looking enough to get one? Sadly I don't think I am. Maybe in say that stripy pattern? Or the blue with the rose print??? Getting one in a less 'oriental' fabric might actually take away some of the cringe factor of a white girl in a cheongsam. Sigh, I don't actually think I can pull it off. Anyway, In The Mood For Love. 2046. Wong Kar-Wai. Do it.
Are two alright kind of girls. On occasion they have a few things to say. Sometimes they blog about it, sometimes they just say it to one another - when they're feeling really crazy, they'd do both! When they're feeling really lazy they don't do either.
