YES.

I'm never the one to lie around here, so why start now? I've never been all too much of a NO. fan. Sorry! I have a flick, I'll like stuff I want to buy (as always). I don't doubt at all that it's a pretty good magazine, and not just for New Zealand either, but I have my issues with it. That's a whole other story I think is best kept close to my heart, for now anyway. But the new spring 2010 issue might just be winning me over. Good cover. And good spread on Sean Lennon & Charlotte Kemp. That's pretty much it really. I can't get my internet hands onto the editorial I'm talking about right now and I don't have the energy to go wander into the cyberspace woods for hours. Early bird issues are already floating around the place, so get your grubby little hands on it and see what all my fuss is about. And I'll put them up when they are more readily accessible to my lazy self, so you can be lazy too! Yay! Watch this space.

Urgh!

Urgh so of course Alice Dellal is on the cover of the upcoming NO. This girl really grinds my gears! I mean I don't really mind her style or anything, sometimes it's a bit vom worthy but who doesn't have those days. It's more the really annoying girls who follow her religiously and run off to shave half their heads, rip holes in their stockings and find an oversized jersey to wear. Like I said, there is nothing wrong with her style. But it bothers me when people have none of their own. Just because it's 'badass' doesn't mean you can get away being an annoying clone.

Rainbow Brite got a makeover

Actually more than a makeover. She got a chin job, an eye life, nose job, lipo and a brand new weave. Like Strawberry Shortcake, Polly Pocket and dare I even say Barbie, Miss Brite joins them in the 21st century cartoon sluts. Why does this happen? Have we really gotten to the end of the children's cartoon barrel? Jesus, use your imagination much? I guess not.

I will NEVER get this excited over the scrunchie

This bitch is crazy! While I will admit to be a bit of a 90s revival enthusiast (I dig floral, plaid and Angela Chase) I do not, do not understand American Apparel's excitement over the scrunchie. Yes, I've had my fair share of scrunchies. My favorite was my silky pink/purple rainbow one I would wear to one side of my head (note: I had a bob at this stage. Yeah, use your imagination). I even had scrunchie envy over my sister's orange mesh one that contained multi-coloured styrofoam balls IN it! Yes, what fond memories those are. That is what I feel the scrunchie should stay , a memory. They shouldn't even be used to tie back your hair when you wash your face for god's sake! No, no, no!!!
