Can I justify this?

Keep in mind that I can't seem to find a photo of these from the front. Granted, I didn't try super hard, but I did try.
302 pounds... like $620 NZD. Ok, wait, now that I converted it, they are kinda expensive... but so pretty! FROM THE SIDE.

navajo yo!

So the whole navajo thing has been in full swing for a while now, and yet to hit NZ in a decent way...oh well, I can live with that. Check out this awesome cardigan by Rodarte x Opening Ceremony. If you ask me it completely knocks the socks of anything Chloë Sev did for them this season - oh how I blaspheme. I was honestly very excited about her collection when they had the wee tea party and all, but now it's online...I'm a bit meh...except for the shoes, Chlo knows shoes. Anyway back to Rodarte, not much else but this is awesome and I want it.

Here are a few more navajo things that are also awesome

baaack!

Hi all. Here I am, back from all the big sister wedding stuff. I will try and pace my blogs so the two people who actually still read this won't get too overwhelmed...

So first thing I'd like to touch on is my love-hate relationship with faux things. Not faux fur, but knock offs. Not direct imitations like ye ole faithful LV bags but the kind of items you look at and go "Hey are those...?" and reply "Yeah...na..." Like my Fauxpening Ceremony shoes for example. I mean how can you not LOVE the fact that you can actually afford the shoes (very similar) that you've been yearning for??? But at the same time, you kind of hate yourself for actually having gone into Wild Pair or the shame of somehow deceiving the real thing. I think with me at the end of the day my love for material things and lack of money for $1,000 pairs of shoes wins. One day I will be rolling in the cash, or at least have the will power to save up for a few months, and be able to buy the real thing and then I will bask in the glory of craftsmanship and how long quality stuff lasts. One day. But for now...

Hello Opening Ceremony...

Hello River Island via ASOS...

My ASOS parcel arrived and I couldn't be any more happy...and hooked. Who ever came up with free international shipping for a limited time was a psychological mastermind.

This one is about my on-going hair crisis.

Yes, another post about my hair ('hooray' I hear you cheer). It's gotten very big and out of control lately - yet I don't feel like Cindy Crawford at all, funny that. Anyway, I'm thinking of getting rid of some of it. Then I saw this lassie from the Chloe Sevigny Opening Ceremony garden party presentation. Should I just wear my hair like this everyday? Bif votes yes. I vote maybe.

p.s. I'm sure y'all have seen the Wonder Woman of Manhattan-eqsue Chloe Sevigny pictures. So hows about check out their little garden party. Jealous much? I'm pretty much green with it/the flu.

p.p.s. Cute t-shirt. January 2011 + Opening Ceremony online = here I come!

Furry

I am bit furry at the moment, as in sick and ill. Boo hoo. But you know what else is furry? Stuff I want in my wardrobe. I want a good fur coat. Bif got a faux-tastic one last year from SaveMart for a spectacular 30 bones. But sigh, not everyone's life is as charmed as Elizabeth's and I am still on le hunt. I thought I found one the other day but my shopping companion said it was a bit too big. Pfft, what does he know? I think it was a bit too Veruka Salt, which is awesome! There was also a very, very soft rabbit fur one there too...sigh maybe I will go back again with someone more partial to the Veruka Salt look.

But look at what I have found here. An Opening Ceremony monster(ish) sale, including a very furry-tastic bag. Do I need it? $USD26 you say? Well ok then. But seriously this bag is something I believe could be integrated well into my life.

It would be a nice change from black, black, black. It would keep my belongings warm in the upcoming winter, act as a portable pillow/snuggle buddy at movies or in line at the bank and can compensate for my lack of/and train me in preparation for a real life pet (I'm thinking medium sized dog). What do you think? We all know I think yes. Besides, I need something to pull me out of this online shopping hell the lovely Topshop pushed me into yesterday - but that's a whole other story and angry rant all together; stay tuned for THAT show-stopper.

Faux-shopping post # gazillion

In preparation for real shopping tomorrow. Which may turn out to be very disappointing after this little trip down fantasy lane. I need new things for summer. Today at work my co-worker turned up looking very summery. I too turned up looking what I thought was summery, but when I got to work realised that I was just wearing black. Black, black, black. That seems to be me in a nutshell these days. Jeeeeesus I need to branch out. If I lived in New York (and had a zillion dollars) I would go to Opening Ceremony tomorrow and get these things - inc. the shoes in the Comme shots. And then my summer would be set!

p.s. a buyer's guilt post WILL follow in the next few days. Brace yourselves beloved readers.

Is that it?

Is this all that Chloe Sevigny is going to churn out for Opening Cermony this year? I feel a bit deflated by this. I'm not saying it's shit, just a bit ho-hum. Yeah I know you can never get enough good quality basics. Cool concept of a unisex line blah blah blah, kudos Chloe, kudos. But really? That's all? There must be more? Maybe under the flug? No, nothing there :(

Better

Although I am enjoying those shoes. Not the mans shoes, they look like the kind of shoes dwarfs wear to give them a bit of extra height. The other shoes, the shoes for the girls. Yes the ones that look a bit Medieval Fair meets lesbian on their own, but on, they look pretty darn good. Or maybe I'm just desperate for something to like amongst this bland, bland mess.

I have found a new evil

In the form of the newly launched Opening Ceremony online store

Wouldn't these both look amazing with black tights?! Please don't even get my started on the clothes and/or the huge list of other designers on offer at wonderful Opening Ceremony! Sigh, sigh, sigh.
