Well , the time has come when I have decided I need to buy a bag. A real one. Like, a nice leather one. Flimsy canvas totes no longer cut it.

Granted, the leather will not be as buttery and smooth. And the hardware isn't gold. That long strap looks awfully long, I must admit..But its like, 650 dollars cheaper and that is $650 I could use for something else awesome.

book club time.

Welcome back to the Unfashionable Guide To Fashion book club. Did you all read Valley of the Dolls? Did you love it as much as I did? Perfect summer book. Well it's time to move onto Picnic at Hanging Rock. Everyone who has a blog and is a girl has pretty much wet their pants over the film and how it's so beautiful and how much they want to dress like 1900 Melbourne boarding school girls. But I'm talking about the book here. Read it. I am and it's pretty good.

more new things!

I got mail, and in that mail I got rings. I've always wanted heaps and heaps of rings. And eventually, I did get heaps and heaps of rings. But then I wore them all at the same time and just felt like a cheap Abbey Lee knock off, which was annoying and not me. So I began to search for cool small rings. And now (including one not pictured) I have three - perfect.


My new ring collection also has a cool animal theme which is kind of neat. It's taking me a little bit of time to get use to the whole pinky ring business...I feel like a mafioso (who likes dolphins) which is very awesome.

DOLPHIN! There is something very nostalgic and 90s about dolphins that I can't quite let go of. Still hunting for these.

Ok so, I've never been a fan of Kirsten Dunst (aka snaggle tooth) but these are pretty cool. BOY spring collection. I like the white dress and poppies. I'm also not really full of words tonight.

Also, this outfit is amazing. But when would I wear this and how would I wear it without looking like a rather stumpy witch? I can't. Sigh my boring office life.

This is so cute! I want to buy it. I mean it's not crazy or anything, we're definitely still in summer here. I think i deserve a new bikini too. Since last summer my proportions have gone nuts and I've spent this summer lazing about in half a very fabulous Petit Bateau and half a not so fabulous Glasson bikini...

But that being said, how do I size this so it fits!? So I don't have saggy/hungry bum at the beach while still modestly concealing my boobs/making them look perky enough. Also, this almost purchase goes completely against my 'stop buying stuff online' mantra which I adopted late last week when I received a 'your order has been dispatched and is on it's way to you' email and had to actually stop and think for a few seconds. True story.

Ok. I won't buy it...just yet...

No, it's not over.

Wanda Jackson came out with a new album last month thanks to the weird and wonderful Jack White (who happened to ditch Meg for good today...not in that way, I'm sure they're still buddies). Anyway, back to Wanda. The Bif & Sarah team went to go see her last year and it was Wandaful - got to love puns. This album, The Party Ain't Over, ain't half bad either, I finally got it today. Actually it's pretty damn good. Jack did with Wanda what he did with Loretta all those years ago...gooood albums them both, very good.
