This hat. Yeah it's cool and the 12-year-old model looks like she's having a good time wearing it in the ASOS studio and yes I really want it. But here's the question, when and where? Really?

    I suggest never in New Zealand unless you are fully committed to it. People may have YOU committed if you wear it with less conviction.

    Personally, I LOVE it and would do my damn best to wear it like I mean it....after I've re-lined it with a far cooler fabric and beaten it up a bit to look less vinyl :-)

    This jacket has a "cowboy" air to it so you'd have to be careful about the outfits... you definitely make a fair point though. Any season other than Summer, then you'd look like a prick. Maybe in a city like Wellington or Auckland, but smaller cities tend to be more "brutal" and unaccepting when it comes to quirky high fashion.
